INSTRUCTIONS FOR UNIVERSITY OF ALASKA RESEARCHERS
REQUESTING A LAND USE AUTHORIZATION FOR RESEARCH
PURPOSES ON PROPERTY NOT OWNED BY THE UNIVERSITY OF ALASKA
Land use authorizations must be obtained through the Facilities and Land Management office any time a research project is conducted on property not owned by the University of Alaska and/or when crossing property not owned by the University of Alaska to access a research site.

STEP ONE
Prepare Research Project Details for Submittal to UA Facilities and Land Management:

Description of research project.

Identify location and ownership of the property on which research is being conducted.

Length of research project (to completion if possible).

Maps of project site location.

Any additional information relevant to the project.

Attention UAF researchers you are required to obtain the internal UAF approval for proposed project.
STEP TWO
STEP THREE
Submit completed CHECKLIST/GUIDELINE to UA Facilities and Land Management.
